Last week, we announced our merger with Driver’s Insurance Group.  As a friendly reminder, effective today, April 30th, all personal auto policy processing functions will be absorbed by Driver’s Georgia facility.

NOTE: We will continue to operate our commercial department and sales & marketing functions from our San Ramon, CA location.

By mid May, all new personal auto business will be processed in the Driver’s Insurance Group state-of-the-art Falcon Rating & Policy Processing System.  This change will eliminate the need to use multiple systems for new business.  You will continue to use the “CENCAL XML BRIDGE” when submitting an application through FSC.  Your will be assigned a new producer code and password for the Falcon system.   

Detailed information regarding this change will be sent to all producers later this week.

Introducing National Unity Insurance Company

CenCal Insurance Services, Inc., a leading provider of non standard automobile programs in California for 25 years , is excited to announce a new partnership with National Unity Insurance Company, rated A- by A. M. Best. Our new California private passenger non-standard auto liability and physical damage program will be available for use the week of May 16, 2011. 

In advance of the program release, Underwriting Guidelines, Underwriting FAQ’s, Producer Addendum and Policy Jacket are available on our website, www.cencalins.com. Log in and from the producer branch office, select Downloadable Documents/National Unity. Print ready copies are available. Please take time to review the underwriting guidelines with your entire staff. All documents, including the declaration page and policy are printed at the point-of-sale. 

For FSC users, activate program numbers 053, 061 and 065 when the 5/15/11 update is released.

UNDERWRITING

1. All applications must be transmitted electronically using our CenCal Interactive System. The National Unity program is our first offering on the new CenCal Interactive 5.5 platform. The enhanced point of sale system is faster and easier to navigate. In just minutes, you can quote, bridge, bind and issue a policy from the convenience of your desktop computer. Your office maintains the original underwriting file and we sweep the down payment from your trust account. We require the producer send a copy of the signed application to our office immediately after policy issuance. You can either: email a PDF file containing the signed application to info@cencalins.com or fax the signed application to 925-275-0680 or 925-275-1928.

2. MVR’s for all operators are ordered as part of the point of sale process.

3. SR-22’s will only be issued electronically at the point of sale for California licenses only. Any Financial Responsibility Filing requested during the policy term will be issued by our office.

4. When photos are required, they must be sent to CenCal by fax at 925-275-0680 or 925-275-1928 or by email at info@cencalins.com immediately upon acceptance of risk. Do not complete the new business process without first inspecting the vehicle and taking photos.


5. Rate using actual annual mileage. Proof required on all risks rated with less than 10,000 annual miles.

6. National Unity policy jackets print at the point-of-sale. Sample copies are available on our website.

7. For your convenience, we have included a National Unity Underwriting FAQ’s page and instructions for issuing a policy through our updated 5.5 platform.

8. Photos required when requesting physical damage coverage. Additionally, the following requirement shall apply: Proof of prior coverage or proof of lienholder or copy of sales contract within 24 hours of purchase date.

Important Log In & Password Changes – Phase I

May 16, 2011

          Important Log In & Password Changes – Phase I

Dear Producer,

As part of the conversion to our enhanced 5.5 CenCal Interactive platform, we are making significant changes to the log-in process which will require a new username and password to enter the system. These changes only apply to National Unity business.

- Enter the system by using the state abbreviation code of CA followed by your four digit producer code and two digit sub code. 
- We will no longer be using old codes. For example, if your producer code is 1348, your username is CA134800. 
- If you are a branch location, you will use the main office producer code, followed by the two digit sub code.
-· Using the example above, you would log-in using CA134801. 
- if you have more than one branch office or you don’t know the main producer code, our staff can assist you. 

Your temporary password has been set to the last five digits of the main telephone number we have on record. 

For security reasons, immediately reset your password for all locations after successfully logging in for the first time. 

To reset your password follow these instructions: 

- From the main menu, click on the yellow radio button (my account). 
- The User Maintenance screen will be displayed. 
- Delete your current password. 
- Follow the instructions posted below the password box to change your password. 
- Complete the process by clicking on the blue “Save” button (next to the orange X). 
- For branch offices: From the User Maintenance screen, click on the branch name and follow the same process. 

Our updated platform now allows the agency owner/representative to assign new users, privileges and passwords. Please reset your temporary password before you make any other changes.

Following are the instructions to assign new users, privileges and passwords for branch locations: 

- Log-in, click on the Agency button located on the blue toolbar
- Click on the Agency User Management icon (on left, face images)
- Click on the green plus (+) icon and select your changes/updates
- Click the save icon (floppy Disk) .

We are currently working on moving our Alliance United program to the enhanced platform. Until such time, continue to use your current log-in information for Alliance United new business and all other policy transactions for Alliance United and our other personal auto programs we service.

Important Notice - Internet Explorer 8 

To:   All California Producers
Re:   Ximport Utility Update


Many Internet Explorer 8 users have reported receiving error messages when attempting to bridge a CenCal Alliance Select policy from FSC to CenCal Interactive (PTS). The link below will update the Ximport Utility and allow to successfully bridge policies.

•  If you are using Internet Explorer 8, click on the link below to update the
   Ximport Utilty.
•  If you have not written a CenCal Alliance Select policy, please use the link to
   update the Ximport Utility, regardless of your operating system.
•  If you have already written CenCal Alliance Select, no update is required.

The update is seamless and only takes a minute to install. Click on the link below to install the update. Follow the prompts to complete. Be certain to install this update on all desktops you use to bridge personal auto business from your FSC rater.

You can also update the link from our website, www.cencalins.com, by clicking on the "Ximport Utility Update" button, located in the Producer Branch Office.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The current version of our FSC bridge is: CenCal Interactive - New. If you have not already done so, please delete other CenCal bridges, such as "CENCAL INTERACTIVE". These obsolete bridges will not work when you attempt to bridge a "CenCal Alliance Select" personal auto policy.

To delete other CenCal bridge(s); from the Main view of FSC rater, go to "Tools" and then "Set Up." From the Bridges tab, highlight the bridge you'd like to delete, and click on the Delete button. When prompted with the question: Do you really want to delete access to bridge item: CENCAL INTERACTIVE, select "Yes." The desired bridge will be deleted from the bridge set up.

You will bridge from FSC to CenCal using the bridge name: CenCal Interactive-New.
